rustic organic bubbles ring - artisan hand crafted jewelry
A beautifully textured randomly organic ring, reminiscent of bubbles, a bubbles ring hand crafted with graphite, fire, a hammer, precious metal, sand and love, lots of love ... unique one of a kind ring, everyday jewelry.
With all that yummy bubbly texture it makes an amazing pendant, too, when suspended from a chain. You can find chains here.
- approximate ring band width - 1/8" (it varies between 3mm - 5mm )
- ring thickness, outside to inside of band - 1/8" (3mm)
- shown with a US dime and inch ruler for scale
- ring metal - recycled sterling silver (.925 silver)
- US ring size - 8
- comfort fit inside, smooth soft bubbles outside
- if you're interested in a ring size other than 8 please do contact me ... I am looking at other ways to create this same ring in a variety of sizes
I created the original ring by hand carving a graphite block, then torch melting the silver grains in an open kiln. Next, I shaped the ring by striking it with a hammer on a ring mandrel and sanded it inside and out to make it smooth and comfortable to wear.

The next process was taking that ring and sand casting in recycled sterling silver and then hand finishing it with either a shiny finish or a brushed oxidized (antiqued) finish.
You can find more rings made with this convoluted graphite fused and then sand cast process here.
Very slow hand crafted jewelry because how it's made matters.
