Wax Seal Charm Size
Unsure of the size of a wax seal charm? Measurements are noted for every charm, both in inches and millimeters, and there is a photo with the charm next to an old US dime for scale.
Many of these wonderful wax seal charms are very small and we're often asked if we can make them larger but sorry, no - the charms can only be the size of the wax seal from which they are stamped in the silver.
Engraving and Personalization
Sorry, but we don't engrave our wax seal charms - we don't have the equipment or the experience to do so.
It's a lovely idea so perhaps your local jeweler can do the engraving for you.
If your ring size is not included in the drop down box of ring sizes we can usually still make a custom size ring for you.
Simply select "other" from the drop down box and add a note, with your ring size, to your order. If “other” is not an option on the listing please just send us a note.
Custom rings are not returnable.
The wax seal charms have been oxidized, a process which antiques/ blackens the low areas on the charm, giving it contrast instead of being completely shiny.
If the high areas begin to tarnish and you’d like them shiny again, gently rub a silver polishing cloth over the area to be shined.
This polishing pad works great.
Can I order an oxidized chain with the necklace?
We're happy to oxidize a chain for you. Once you've selected the necklace chain length from the listing simply send a note when you place your order to let us know that you’d prefer an oxidized chain.
Do you offer gift-wrapping?
We don’t currently offer individual item gift wrapping but each necklace is placed in a glass topped aluminum tin and includes a descriptive card. Then, your entire order is tucked into a hand stamped logo cloth bag and wrapped in tissue paper with the logo sticker and hand written note tag.
Do you need an extra hand stamped logo fabric gift bag with your jewelry order? Just let us know at the time of purchase.
If you’d like to ship an order directly to a gift recipient we are happy to personalize the note tag - simply include a note with your personalization (it’s a small tag, see photo, so please keep it brief).
*Please note, orders going to different addresses will need to be ordered separately so that you can enter the address for each destination.
We are considering individual “gift wrapping” in the same fashion as described above. If you’d like this option before it becomes available in the shop please contact us. There will be an additional fee and more than 2 wrapped items will require the upgraded USPS priority small box shipping.
When can I expect my order?
The processing time does vary slightly but typically you can expect your order to ship within 3 - 5 business days.
Rings are made to order and will ship within 5 - 7 business days.
Please note that a few days may be added to processing times during busy holiday seasons.
Estimated shipping times
US: 3 - 6 business days
Canada: 2 - 3 weeks (customs fees may be incurred at receipt by your country)
Europe: 2 - 6 weeks (customs fees may be incurred at receipt by your country)
Customs and import taxes
Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply.
We are not responsible for delays due to customs.
Sometimes the package is sitting in customs awaiting taxes and fees before being released and you are not always notified by your postal service that you need to pick it up and pay any taxes or fees.
It is highly recommended that you follow the tracking number you will receive when your package ships so you know when it enters your country.
Hopefully you will receive notification that it’s being held for taxes and fees but if not maybe it will be noted in the tracking.
Customs does not hold a package long before returning it to the sender.
It has become the shop policy to refund international orders, minus shipping charges, when returned because the post/mail does not refund the shipping charges on returned packages and we cannot afford to ship again as international shipping and insurance fees are costly.
Tracking and Insurance
Packages are shipped via the US postal service (USPS) with tracking and insurance and you will receive a notice, with your tracking number, when your package has been shipped.
If an item is lost in the mail please contact us so that we may file an insurance claim:
after 21 days for domestic packages
after 45 business days for international packages
This is the insurance company’s official policy for insurance claims.
If tracking says delivered and you did not receive it, please contact your local USPS office and your local police.
We will not be held responsible for items shipped to a given wrong address.
Returns and exchanges
We want you to be happy with your jewelry purchase but if you are not, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and return the item to us in its original condition with packaging within 14 days of delivery.
Once received we will credit your payment for the cost of the returned item, in its original condition, but you are responsible for the cost of shipping.
