"They said there's too much caffeine in your bloodstream, and a lack of real spice in your life … " I couldn’t help but sing this song the entire time I was sand casting these little roasted coffee beans.

- approximate measurement - 5/8“ (16mm) including loop x 3/8” (9mm) ... these are the same sizes as actual coffee beans so the sizes will vary slightly naturally

I’ve sand cast the little roasted coffee beans ... 
the sand casting process ... I’ve created a mold in packed sand, torch melted the metal and poured it into the cavity of the sand mold. The cooled metal is then removed and the castings require quite a lot of clean up before being finished and fashioned into jewelry.   It’s a process done one at a time, a new sand mold is made each and every casting and not every piece works out the way I’d like it to so I make a new mold, melt the metal and try again. 
Each solid three-dimensional coffee bean will be unique and you can expect to see evidence, natural imperfections, of the process in every piece of jewelry, texture left behind from the sand molds.
Once I cleaned the coffee beans up I added the loops, oxidized to highlight the imperfections, and then finished them to rustic natural imperfection ... it's a long process, but it’s hand crafted jewelry because I believe how it's made matters.
