Borrowing from history, a lovely sentimental sterling silver MIZPAH ring … a modern casting of a well loved Victorian era (1837 - 1901) ring with gothic raised lettering on a chased surface within a banner of sorts.  The tapered back of the ring band is plain.

- symbolism -
During the Victorian era Mizpah jewelry was commonly gifted between two people to symbolize the special emotional bonding between them when they are separated either by distance or death, worn in remembrance.
Mizpah is a Hebrew word which means watchtower sending the message 'May God watch over you'.  It comes from the bible passage Genesis Chapter XXXI verse 49: The Lord watch between me and thee, when we are absent from one another.
