Connecting the past to the present, a sterling silver skull bangle bracelet with an engraved pumpkin head skull image and to the interior is the inscription memento mori, a mourning bracelet in the style of an 18th century mourning ring.

- symbolism -
In heraldry, the skull is symbolic of mortality and a reminder that death comes to all living things ... the Latin sentiment MEMENTO MORI means remember your death and is meant to inspire you to intentionally think about your own death every day, as a means of appreciating the present and focus on the future.

Crafted by borrowing the skull design from an early 18th century (1713) death's head skull mourning ring and fashioning it as a substantial sterling silver bangle bracelet.  Even the memento mori inscription is in an 18th century font.

The original 18th century British death's head mourning ring was a token of remembrance given to selected family and friends at the funeral or burial of G.H. to commemorate his or her life, who left this world on 9 March in 1713, near the end of Queen Anne’s reign over Great Britain and Ireland and the end of the Stuart period (1603 to 1714).  I've included a picture of the gold ring that inspired this bracelet idea.  The modern casting of this ring is available here.
