As I find them...

As I find them...

Every once in a while I remember to snap a photo of the sea glass as I find it, lying amongst the rocks and seaweed just before I pick it up. The photos are snapped quickly because I don’t want a wave to rush in and take the sea glass away.
The first photograph depicts a big chunk of sea foam sea glass that was once part of an old coca cola bottle, the second is a piece of sun kissed lavender sea glass that began as an old clear bottle (1880 - 1915) that was made with manganese, which with sun exposure it slowly oxidized to this soft shade of purple.  The third photo depicts a heart shaped rock... and I just couldn't resist picking that up!  All of these lovelies were picked up from a little cove nestled in the Narragansett Bay in Newport, RI.
