A very small, simple and solid orb necklace pendant, loaded with lovely organic texture after being sand cast from a tiny beach found sea glass marble … jewelry designed with found objects, created by hand.

Meant to be worn everyday, perfect for fiddling with, totally stackable because it seems the more the merrier ... and perfectly imperfect.

The magical orb is symbolic of unity, wholeness, infinity, eternity and cosmic harmony, owing to its flawless, boundary-free spherical shape. It represents the divine, worldly dominion, or spiritual energy … believed to be manifestations of divine energy, such as guardian angels, spirit guides, or the souls of departed loved ones.

More specifically, when the color of an orb is considered, a silver orb represents purity, divine protection, and spiritual connection, often indicative of an angelic presence … a positive energy and a sign of peace and purity.

The word orb is derived from the Latin word orbis, meaning circle or ring.

- I do have one "blue moon" orb pendant available ... I've manipulated the oxidation process and finished it slightly differently than I normally do on sterling silver to create this iridescent blue color ... it's less blue more coppery in color on the other side. 
important note ... I don't know how stable the blue color will be with wear and it may wear away to look more like the original orb shown in the other photos ... ahhh, the mystery!
I've tried to capture the blue in the last photos but it's hard, one looks a little more blue than it is to the naked eye and one looks a little less blue and sometimes it just looks rather steely, all dependent on the lighting.

I have sand cast a very small sea glass marble, as I found it between the tides on the shoreline, in sterling silver. Then after cleaning up the casting I added the suspension loop, oxidized and polished it up a bit to enhance its beautiful texture.

The sand casting process - I create a mold in packed sand, torch melt the metal and pour it into the cavity of the sand mold. The cooled metal is then removed and the castings require cleaning up before being finished and fashioned into jewelry. It’s a process done one at a time, therefore every item will vary uniquely with natural imperfections due to the sand casting process.
