Make an impression with this lovely guardian angels French armorial desk wax seal.  There are four winged angel faces around the shield and the one at the top has a halo.  Within the shield are 3 crosses and three towers? and the desk seal dates back to the 18th century.

So much mystery but I'll leave the enjoyment of the research to you.

- approximate height - 3" (78mm)
- matrix measurement - 1" x 7/8" (25mm x 22mm)
- metal - the matrix is bronze and slightly loose where it affixes to the wood handle
- handle - the turned wood handle was once lovely, I'm sure, but now has a chunk of wood missing from one side ... please see photos
