Make an impression with this interesting, likely Scottish, antique (1890) desk wax seal depicting an ornate family crest shield, within which is a tall flower, a skull and bones and a heart topped with arrows.

Please review the photos carefully as they are the most important part of the description. Also, some of the antique seals are very large, some very small, and I have carefully measured each, see below.

So much mystery but I'll leave the enjoyment of the research to you.

- matrix measurement - almost 7/8” x almost 3/4” (20mm x 16mm)
- matrix metal - a silver metal
- handle - a gorgeous tapered bloodstone handle
- this was once part of a museum collection identified on the top of the handle as #4245
