The Beaver Moon necklace pendant, the name of our November full moon.  The two sides of this reversible pendant come together to represent the Beaver Moon full moon ... on one side of the moon, the bright side, a man in the moon full moon and on the other side, the dark side, a simplistic beaver carving. Cool and unique reversible lunar jewelry.

It was named the Beaver Moon because in November, as temperatures consistently drop, beavers remind us to prepare for the long, cold winter as they work together gathering food, building their damns and lodging for shelter from the elements.
Beavers are symbolic of strategy, teamwork, and unstoppable urgency.

- moon approximate measurement - almost 1/2" (12mm) plus suspension loops
- thickness - at thickest point (nose) just over 1/4" (7mm)

After creating the master of the pendant I made a sand mold of it, torch melted the metal and poured it into the sand mold, sand casting it in sterling silver.  Each solid dimensional piece will be unique and you can expect to see evidence of the process in every piece of jewelry, texture left behind from the sand molds.  Some may see these as imperfections but I see them as intentionally one of a kind beautiful ... hand crafted jewelry because I believe how it's made matters.
