The Strawberry Moon necklace pendant, the name of our June full moon.  There's a little sleepy moon face on one side and a bit of strawberry texture on the reverse ... cool lunar reversible jewelry, perfect for the June birthday.

The Strawberry Moon full moon occurs every June, so named because June is the time to gather ripening strawberries in what is now the northeastern United States.

- approximate measurements - 1/2" (13mm) plus suspension loops   
- thickness - at thickest point (nose) 1/4" (6mm)
- metal - sterling silver (.925 silver)

After creating the master of the pendant in wax I made a sand mold of it, torch melted the metal and poured it into the sand mold, sand casting it in sterling silver.  You can expect to see evidence of the process in every piece of jewelry, texture left behind from the sand molds. Then that was lost wax cast in sterling silver to make a few more. Some may see these as imperfections but I see them as intentionally one of a kind beautiful ... hand crafted jewelry because I believe how it's made matters.
