The original rusty nail, dating back to the 1700 - 1800's, was found in an old ghost town in the Colorado rockies, carrying its own history, its own story, its own symbolism.

Simple, naturally textured, imperfect, rustic and perhaps a bit unexpected ... elevated hand crafted historical hardware jewelry.

The nail, once hammered into materials, it transforms them by joining things together, by holding things together … building structures, ships, furniture, coffins, shoes, horseshoes to horses and so much more … their general shape hasn't changed much over time.
The nail represents strength, structural integrity, protection, stability, security and transformation.  It protects, it binds, it grounds.

I’ve taken the original old iron nail, that was forged in fire, molded it in sand and cast it in sterling silver, again forged in fire ... ignis ~ Latin for fire … a force that anchors intention into reality.

Each nail is sand cast individually so will be unique ... because how it's made matters.

To use the nail as a spiritual pendulum pendant, to help answer your questions, allow it to swing freely while suspended from its chain ... what does it reveal?  does it swing vertically (yes) or horizontally (no).
