The snowflake is symbolic purity, transformation, uniqueness and individuality.

Snowflakes, so often a symbol of winter, those little frozen ice crystals in which no two are alike because of the number of water molecules that grow at different rates and in different patterns depending on the changing temperature and changing humidity as they pass through the atmosphere.   We learned much of this from Wilson Alwyn Bentley, also known as snowflake Bentley, an American meteorologist and photographer who was the first known person to take detailed photographs of snowflakes and record their features and he informed us that while all snowflakes have 6 points no two snowflakes are ever exactly the same ... they are individually unique, just like us.
