OMNIA MIGRANT - everything changes - wax seal jewelry
A wonderfully thoughtful, philosophical OMNIA MIGRANT wax seal necklace with a nod to life and the fact that all things change, all things pass ... meaningful wax seal jewelry.
The Latin sentiment omnia migrant translates to all things change or everything changes.
Everything is always already on the move and nothing, but nothing can stop this … all things pass.

Impressed from an art deco style antique wax seal, that dates back to 1908, in solid sterling silver, with lots of marks and hallmarks and made by the famous silversmiths and inventors Sampson Mordan & Co.
The Roman poet Lucretius felt that a fundamental, material condition of nature as it appears was movement and wrote:
“Everything must pass through successive stages. Nothing remains for ever what it was. Everything is on the move [omnia migrant]. Everything is transformed by nature and forced into new paths”
More chains, charm catchers and dog clip swivel fobs here.
Impressed with history!
