Meet Vidrio and Vetro Marino, cute little identical twin sea glass ghost pendants.

Vidrio, meaning glass, was named after her Spanish grandmother and is wider at the top.  Vetro, also meaning glass, was named after her Italian grandmother and she is wider at the bottom.

Vidrio and Vetro share their last name Marino which loosely translates of the sea, glass of the sea.

More about these identical twins … identical, or monozygotic, twins formed from a single piece of sea glass but they’re a rare subtype of identical twins called mirror image twins which have mirror image traits, and in this case one is wider at the top and one is wider at the bottom.

These sweet little disembodied twins were found rolling in the tides, one little frosty nugget of sea glass with her glorious frosty texture, sand cast in solid sterling silver … I made a mold of the sea glass nugget ghost in sand, twice and then torch melted the silver and poured it into the sand mold twice to create two little sea glass ghosts.

After cleaning them up I gave each one some personality ... because the eyes are the window to the soul. Both sand cast from the same nugget of sea glass ... choose your favorite sea glass twin or choose both.

A bit about the origin of the English word ghost ~ it was derived from the Old English word gāst, a noun that meant spirit, soul, breath and angel.
