This item is currently on backorder but you can still purchase it now and we'll ship as soon as more become available.
The lion and mouse wax seal necklace pendant, right out of Aesop's Fables ... an inspirational necklace with the moral A KINDNESS IS NEVER WASTED - thoughtful appreciative Latin motto wax seal jewelry that makes a sweet thank you gift.
The lion is trapped under a net with a little mouse off to the side, gnawing away at the net, under a banner with the Latin words NON IMMEMOR BENEFICI which translate NOT UNMINDFUL OF THE BENEFITS but the words are very tiny and challenging to read on the charm.

Do you remember the Aesop's Fable THE LION AND THE MOUSE?
A sleeping lion awoke to a mouse scampering across his nose. When the lion went to kill the mouse, the mouse begged to be spared, promising to repay the lion one day. The lion was amused ... how could a little mouse ever help him, but he did let the mouse go. Several days later, the lion found himself caught up in the toils of a hunter’s net, unable to set himself free. He roared in frustration and the little mouse heard that roar and quickly found the lion caught in the net. The mouse gnawed at the rope until the lion was set free.
And the moral of the story... A KINDNESS IS NEVER WASTED.
