Make an impression with a lovely antique 19th century desk wax seal depicting a robed figure, it may be a guardian angel, with outstretched arms surrounded by smaller winged angels and a legend.

Please review the photos carefully as they are the most important part of the description. Also, some of the antique seals are very large, some very small, and I have carefully measured each, see below.

- approximate height - 2 1/2“ (63mm)
- matrix measurement -7/8“ x 3/4“ (22mm x 19mm)
- metal - heavy metal, steel? but it appears the matrix is 2 metals layered
- handle - all one piece of heavy metal but the top is a bit flared, perhaps evidence of being struck with a hammer which has me wondering if it was originally meant to strike medals and not meant as a wax seal
