Meet Fiammetta, her Italian name meaning flame.  She’s a lovely bronze ghost in chains whose lingering existence serves a purpose … she puts out the flames of candles.
Fiammetta takes her job as a candle snuffer or candle douter very seriously as she safely extinguishes the flame of a burning candle without wax spatter by silently hovering over the flame, cutting off its oxygen supply.

When she's not busy extinguishing candles she's happy to sit still, to occupy space as a paper weight or simply lovely home decor ... at Halloween or year round.
And since she's a ghost in chains she can even be suspended and hover over a special area in your home, as an ornament (a rather heavy one) ... and don't worry, while typically a ghost in chains represents unfinished business, regret or guilt that traps them to the mortal world this is not the case with Fiammetta ... her chain is symbolic of love, commitment, and eternal bonds.

This larger sweet disembodied soul was hand sculpted from a chunk of purple carving wax and then cast in bronze ... a sweet hand crafted candle snuffer.

- ghost measurements - 1 1/2“ (37mm) not including loop
- the ghost is 3D and detailed on all sides
- select metal - shiny bronze, matte bronze, matte white bronze (see photo 6)
- the chain is an antiqued brass or a white bronze chain option of antiqued silver metal
- photographed with a US dime and inch ruler for scale
- I do recommend the polish pad with any of the bronze items as the color does turn quickly and can be easily restored.

A bit about the origin of the English word ghost ~ it was derived from the Old English word gāst, a noun that meant spirit, soul, breath and angel.

And please note, it's a good idea to wipe out the soot and wax build up from any candle snuffer after every few uses.
