The skull and crossbones Death or Glory emblem historically belonged to the 17th Lancers regiment, a first generation Lancers military group of front line soldiers from the British Army.
There is SO much more to write about this special wax seal, including the 17th Lancers involvement of the American War of Independence, the American Revolutionary War, in 1775 - 1783, from the Battle of Bunker Hill to Philadelphia where the 17th Lancer Captain Stapleton handed General Washington the final British notice of the cessation of hostilities on April 17th in 1783.

Impressed with history!
