Every day should be a day at the beach!  The “not” sea glass bottleneck ring pendant is actually cast in resin, from one of the wonderful authentic sea glass lip shard bottleneck rings in my collection, the dyes carefully blended to mimic the colorful sea glass found on the beach... so soothing!

Just like real sea glass, each resin ring is slightly different in both shape and color, but unlike its real counterpart it is light weight and it won't break on impact!

There are 6 resin sea glass bottleneck styles available:

style 1 - soda pop bottleneck (2nd and 3rd pictures)
- approximate US ring size - 5 - 5 1/2
- height - 3/4" (20mm) highest, 3/8" (9mm) lowest
A soda pop or mineral water bottle with a crown seal lip that was introduced in the late 19th century and still used today. You're probably familiar with the metal cap with a corrugated skirt/flange that is placed on the crown of the bottle and crimped into a locking position, that used to require a bottle opener to open but now some are twist off.

style 2 - soda pop bottle variation (4th picture)
- approximate US ring size - 5 - 5 1/2
- height - 5/8" (18mm) highest, 1/4" (7mm) lowest

style 3 - cracked bottleneck (5th picture)
- approximate US ring size - 6 - 6 1/2
- height - 1/2" (12mm)
From an old soda or mineral water bottle, likely the donut shaped Hutchinson style, with a gravitating stopper that was introduced in 1864 through the 1880‘s. The wonderful ring in resin is complete with the crack from the original sea glass bottleneck but this crack will not grow or break.

style 4 - cracked bottleneck with blob top lip (6th picture)
- approximate US ring size - 6 1/2
- height - 3/4" (20mm) highest, 1/2" (14mm) lowest
A blob top lip soda mineral water bottle that was introduced in the late 1830‘s until the early 1840‘s, when the counter-pressure bottling process and machinery appeared and bottle shops were opening up rapidly along the Eastern Seaboard to provide for increasingly demanded flavored soda waters. The wonderful ring in resin is complete with the crack from the original sea glass bottleneck from which it was cast, but this crack will not grow or break.

style 5 - flat lip bottleneck (7th picture)
- approximate US ring size - 4 1/2
- height - 3/8" (11mm)
A bottle lip was from an old bottle with a flat applied lip, that was common for medicine bottles which would explain its smaller size, and dates back to the 1840's to the 1880's. I love that you can see where the bottle top was sheared off from the rest of the bottle.

style 6 - thick scotsman beer bottleneck (1st picture)
- approximate US ring size - 6 - 6 1/2 but very thick so best as pendant
- height - 3/4" (20mm) highest, 1/2" (15mm) lowest
- sold out - dark aqua
From the rough shores of Scotland and was likely from an early export beer bottle, dating back to 1860 - 1880, with its thick rounded tapered ring lip with a smaller thick ring beneath, as though it were both cork sealed internally and then sealed/fastened again with a ring between the two rounded areas.

Each style ring is available in most any color shown in all of the pictures so for any style, select cobalt, turquoise/light blue, dark aqua, aqua, sea foam, light green, green, lime green, yellow, orange, red.
If your selection is not available I'll let you know and you can decide if you have a second choice.

An adjustable 16" - 18" black double leather cord with a lobster clasp is available, as shown in the 2nd and 8th picture.

The last photograph depicts the original sea glass bottlenecks from which all of these wonderful resin ring pendants were cast.
