A skull and crossbones wax seal necklace, the skull surrounded by the crown jewels: the crown, royal scepter, orb and the words MEMENTO MORI ... magnificent wax seal jewelry.

Note, the words MEMENTO MORI are challenging to read on the wax seal charm, just as they are on the original steel intaglio fob from which the charm is impressed.

- symbolism -
In heraldry, the skull and crossbones are symbolic of mortality.
St. Edward's Crown is the chief symbol of regal authority.
The Sovereign's Sceptre with a dove, also known as the Rod of Equity and Mercy, is emblematic of his or her spiritual role. It represents the sovereign's spiritual role, with the dove representing the Holy Ghost.
The Sovereign’s Orb is a symbol of Godly power.
The Latin sentiment MEMENTO MORI is a reminder that death is inevitable and is meant to inspire you to intentionally think about your own death every day, as a means of appreciating the present and focus on the future.

Impressed from a stunning 18th century Georgian (1790) rock crystal intaglio ring. Notice the ring shank is actually two cobras supporting the the crystal intaglio, their tails entwined at the bottom of the ring shank. The ring is not available for purchase.

It's likely that this seal commemorates a member of the royal family, quite likely one in the Stuart Monarchy (Stuart crystal). The St. Edward's Crown, along with the orb and sceptre, are three authoritative symbols of the monarchy and used at the coronation of each new sovereign. They are parts of the Crown Jewels which are kept at the Tower of London in the Jewel House.
