Like a puzzle ... a very interesting and rare mid-1800s (Victorian era) French gimmel wedding ring. The 18k yellow gold puzzle ring is beautifully decorated with stars and a discreet hatched pattern. So often it is engraved on the inside, the flat area seen inside when it is opened, but this one is not so this is very rare. 
In excellent condition with French eagle head hallmark.

- approximate ring band width - 1/8" (3mm) when closed

- US ring size 6.25 and not sizable

It would would make a wonderful unique wedding or posy ring.
